Dimitris Gavalas was born in 1940 at the village
Platia at the island Tinos and died in 27 October 1998 in
Athens. He studied and graduated from the artist school of Fine
Arts in Tinos having Daniil Alexandrou (painter) and Vasili
Parasxo (sculpture) as his professors. Then graduate from the
Sivitanidio Art School of Athens and at the preschool of the
National Fine art school of Athens. In 1962 founds the first Art
foundry in Greece where the Greek sculptures can cast their work
in Greece. In 1996 the Greek Society of Sculptures awards him
for his contribution to the art of sculpture. In the last 5
years of his life 1993-1998 he created a series of work called
<The unexpected of Creation>. At the photos on the side there is
